WHAT IS FLORIDA QUACK?

We Are Individual and We Are United

Florida QuACk is a non-profit organization comprised of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Straight Supportive artists. We meet each month at The Center in Orlando, Florida, and we organize the monthly exhibitions in The Center's Gallery Q.

Florida QUACK was formed in an attempt to lessen the social and cultural isolation under which LGBT artists work. Each member artist represents a very diverse sensibility, but all are united in their desire to create work that is both passionate and eloquent. Our focus is to encourage each other in our individual efforts, to develop and promote our works as well as win recognition in the general artistic community.

Monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 6pm in The Center. Meetings are open to the public. Please, join us.

The Center, 946 N Mills Ave, Orlando FL 32803

Our Vision

  • To furnish a safe space where LGBT artists may seek support and information;
  • To provide one another with inspiration and moral support;
  • To facilitate our mutual quest by finding alternative as well as existing venues in which to show and sell the work of members;
  • To cultivate the appreciation and understanding of the works of art of a very diverse community;
  • To conduct art and culture workshops for LGBT adults in the community;
  • To promote interest in the practice of art and in the scholarly study of arts;
  • To foster cooperative activities among all Floridian artists;
  • To facilitate cultural exchange and contact among all artists as well as artist groups.
